New Mini-Z AtomicBuilt:  2007 Team Edition MR-02 Modified

This is the setup driven by Team AtomicMods drivers in the 2wd Modified Class in World Cup competition. The MR-02 is a great platform and with the right upgrades it is capable of running faster than anything else on a high grip track.

This setup took the top 3 finishes at the 2007 PN World Cup Southern Regional, as well as Top Qualifier.  Read More...

Cristian's Corner:  Dialing in your TGR Sinister

The TGR Sinister is a bit more complicated to set up than a regular MR-02.  It features tighter tolerances and a stiffer CF chassis than other models readily available in the market. These things, in combination with other features that are not available on other 1:28 scale chassis, can lead to some confusion and frustration on your way to dialing in your TGR Sinister.

With that in mind, we developed a short "Suspension Tuning Guide" for the Sinister. This tuning guide offers a brief explanation of each adjustment, how it can be adjusted, as well as a good starting point based on our team cars.  Read More...

Project X-Z

Doth my eyes decieve me or is that a KO Propo C2 Helios with a Radio Shack XMOD?

At AtomicMods.com, we are always looking to push the envelope in the ways we improve our cars.

Everybody knows XMODs are great fun and a blast to upgrade, but they do lack in the electronics department. But what if you could upgrade the electronics and run a high grade remote?  Read More...

New Tutorial:  V2 Installation on XMOD Evo

Probably the most asked question of us here at AtomicMods.com Technical Support is, "How do I install the V2 on my XMOD Evo?"

Team AtomicMods News

After his performance at the 2007 PN World Cup Southern Regional, we felt he deserved a re-introduction of sorts.  So say hello to Jacob Feinstein, proud member of Team AtomicMods.  He is the current PN Mini-Z World Champion in the 2wd Stock class and Pan Car class.

In October, he is headed to Almada, Portugal, along with other members of Team AtomicMods, to defend his world championship titles at the 2007 PN Racing Mini-Z World Cup.

Jacob has been interested in R/C cars since he was 8 years old.  Read More...

Robert (aka "Frank the Tank") Rocha is heading to Massachusetts for the 1:18 East Coast Championships on September 14-16.  He is running three classes and we're hoping for a strong showing.  His main objective will be talking shop with other RC-Types.

Frank the Tank is very approachable and loves talking about everything RC, so if you see him, be sure to stop and say hello.

Special Guest at AtomicMods Racing Club

News Flash!

This week Luis Diaz, who drives Lemans for the Lowes racing team, will be racing Mini-Zs with us.

Luis is quite a celebrity on the racing scene, and also happens to be an AtomicMods.com customer who loves Mini-Z racing.

He plans to bring a few friends and participate in our regular club racing, and he is a really cool guy so be sure and welcome him.  He will be signing autographs, or handing out t-shirts, or whatever it is that famous people do when they hang out with geeks like us...

You can learn more about Luis here: http://www.lowesracing.com/adrian/luis.html

Have you been searching for that elusive aluminum part for your XMOD? We received a shipment of parts for the Gen1, Evo Car, and Evo Truck

We have some hot Mini-Z ReadySets in stock.  We managed to get our hands on a blast from the past, the "2 Fast 2 Furious" Skyline.  If you are a collector and don't have it, you need to get it now...

...we also now have the Porsche 934 Turbo ReadySet in Red and Black.

We've evaluated several Losi Micro-T chassis designs, and decided on Hot Racing's version.  It is available in carbon fiber or fiberglass, and both have aluminum accent pieces.

For more new stuff, be sure to check out the cleverly named page New Stuff.

Find a Local Racing Club

We just love to race, and we know you do too. We also know how tough it can be to find other racing enthusiasts, so we created this page to give you a way to connect with other racers in your local area.

You can also submit your local racing club to help other racers find you.
