2007 PN Racing Mini-Z
World Cup U.S. Southern Regional |
On August 4-5, 2007, AtomicMods.com will
have the great honor of hosting the U.S. Southern Regional of
the very popular PN Racing Mini-Z World Cup. The PN Racing World
Cup is the most prestigious organized Mini-Z event in the world
today and is also the measure by which most drivers compare to
each other on a global scale. We are taking
registrations online.
Three different titles will be up for grabs
to anyone who chooses to enter this event at AtomicMods.com very own test track. The 3
categories to be run will be Stock Mini-Z, Modified Mini-Z and
Open Formula 1. In stock and modified Mini-Z, both 2WD and AWD
models will be allowed. In addition, each entrant to a category
will receive a “hand-out motor” which will keep things even as
everyone will run the same brand and motor type in their cars.

Cristian's Corner |
|

This month I’ll be letting you in on one of my speed
secrets. Though common in larger scales, not many people work on (or know how to
work on) their differentials when they
first get them. It is very crucial that a diff is adjusted and built properly to
get the most performance out of your car. I've written a
step-by-step
tutorial on how to do this the right way, with the right parts.
It isn't hard to do the modifications and
the rewards are incredible! Installing ceramic bearings and
sanding the differential rings are straightforward tasks that
will make your differential feel as smooth and silky as can be.
With smoother differential action, your car will be a lot easier
to drive and this will allow you to turn faster, more consistent
laps at your local track.

New!
Team Losi Mini-Slider RTR |
|
The
new
Mini-Slider
from Team Losi is an amazing detailed scale model of a full scale
dirt oval sprint car. Featuring a longer chassis than the Mini-T
or Mini-Baja, the Mini-Slider is designed with unique handling
characteristics while sharing many performance and
upgradeability features from other Losi Minis. The 4-piece body
with headers, street tires, chromed wheels and realistic roll
cage configuration all add to the look that parallels the real
thing. There is no other vehicle quite like it on the market
today. The Mini-Slider comes completely ready-to-run with the
Losi DSM radio system for crystal and interference free
precision-control at all times.

As always, there is a ton of
new stuff on the site.
To
start, we've added these 1:28 scale
SSG Set-Up Boards in four colors. We'll add some sweet
new set-up tools to go with them soon.
Don't
go to the site without visiting the ever-expanding
Losi Micro-T section. We have been adding Micro-T
parts almost daily, including the new
Li-Po battery packs.
The
new
Losi Micro-Baja will be in stock very soon. It is a baja-style RTR that shares a platform with the now-infamous
Micro-T. We've had a lot of feedback thus far, so
get your pre-order in ASAP!

Shipping
Countdown |
|
 |
|
If you haven't been to the site in awhile (or just plain
haven't noticed), we have added a unique feature to the
homepage, the Shipping Countdown. When you first happen upon it,
it appears to be a timer. Don't worry. You need not run for
cover. The Shipping Countdown is counting down the hours,
minutes, and seconds until the shipping cutoff time. You have
this amount of time to place your order and have it shipped the
very same day via UPS. At 2:00 PM CST, the
timer starts over based on the next cutoff. As with
anything else, there is some
fine print involved. |
