armatures. Why, you ask? Simply because it is the most versatile lathe available
on the market today!
The Perfect Lathe 2 allows you to cut motors ranging in 130 size (Mini-Z's,
XMODs) all the way to the larger 540 and 550 motors found in bigger scale cars
(1/10th, 1/12th). All this is very easily achieved by turning a screw that
brings the "V" channels the armature rides on closer together.
Turning the commutator on an old motor re-surfaces the copper and makes the
commutator perfectly round again, and in combination with a new set of brushes
essentially restores the motor to "like new" condition.
