Brushless is the ultimate performance upgrade for your 1:18 scale car or truck. Brushless is not only more efficient, it provides crazy top speeds and gets there in a hurry with massive amounts of torque. The included Mamba-25 ESC has a voltage cutoff feature to keep you from running your pack too low and damaging it, as well as reverse lockout and reverse speed. Brake strength is also adjustable. The ESC is plug and play, and all of the basic options can be programmed from your transmitter, but with the optional Castle Link USB Programming Kit intense customization is possible.

Speed testing was performed on a Mini-T with the stock gearing. By running taller gears, even higher speeds can be reached. "Std." refers to NiCD or Ni-MH packs and "LiPo" refers to Lithium Polymer packs.

The 5400Kv is a very good 6 or 7 cell Std pack racing set-up with long runtimes, and also the best racing set-up for running 2S LiPo packs. It is the most versatile of all the combos because you can race it with a 2S LiPo pack and switch to a 3S LiPo pack for insane speed runs.

  • Requires:With a Mini-T you must have a seperate reciever as the stock integrated controller has no place to plug an external speed controller into.
  • Application Notes:The Mamba systems are capable of up to FIVE TIMES the speed and power of stock 1/18th scale power systems. As with any high-power capable electric system, the batteries you use will be the dominant factor affecting overall performance. In order to be capable of a large increase in performance over the stock system, the stock batteries and connectors must be replaced with high power capable cells and connectors. If you run Lithium Poly, make sure you adjust the voltage cutoff as the factory setting is for NiMH and NiCD packs.
