PORSCHE achieved its first victory in three years at the 1986 Le Mans 24 hour race with the PORSCHE 962 C LH. This car No.10 PORSCHE 962 C LH was driven by a Japanese driver.
Built on the hugely successful Porsche 956 street racing car, the Porsche 962 was designed to participate in the American IMSA and made its debut at the 1984 Daytona 24 hour. These glorious results were also achieved in the Group C with the 962C model. With the 640ps output from the water-cooled engine, the beginning of the Porsche era had begun. Winning five out of seven rounds and overall victory in the 1985 World Endurance Race was followed with victory at the 1986 LeMans for a total domination of endurance racing. Car No.1 has been chosen for this model.
