This Mini-Z MR-02 ReadySet contains everything needed to burn up the track all fully assembled and ready to go, you only need to add batteries.

  • Includes:Factory assembled chassis complete with a pre-painted body finished with all markings, a wheel-type transmitter, a selection of pinion gears (6T, 7T, 8T, 9T), and a lug nut wrench.
  • Requires:You will need 8 AA cells for the transmitter, (alkaline or rechargeable) and 4 AAA cells for the car (alkaline or rechargeable). Alkaline cells work, but rechargeable cells will perform much better. Be sure to pick up a charger if you go with rechargeable cells.

    Appearance -     I'm in love... These things are just downright sexy. The bodies are so perfect in their representations of the cars that they mimic, that it is sometimes hard to tell a photo of a Mini-Z from the full size car. The high gloss paint jobs are gorgeous, and the gloss coating provides a "wet paint" look that really takes abuse. Visually they are good enough for static display models, and some people collect them for that purpose alone. In fact, I have a collection of my favorite models in my office as display pieces. The bodies are tough, but not indestructable, so it's a good idea to pick up an extra one for knocking around so you can keep your display body pristine.

    Driving - But I like to drive and this is where the Mini-Z really shines. If you have not driven one, you will be amazed at how unbelievably smooth and precise they are.

    Upgrades - They will work with regular alkaline cells, but the current provided by that type of battery is limited and performance will be much better with rechargeable Ni-Cad or Ni-MH cells as they provide more current. But, if you really feel then need for speed, slap a Lithium Pro Kit into it and the top speed almost doubles over stock.  Be prepared to glue the tires on with our Grip Lock Tire Glue, because they will not stay after a Lithium Pro Kit upgrade.  We have many upgrades for the Mini-Z line and more in development so keep an eye on us.  I'm going to play with my Mini-Z!
