This mount lowers the motor mounting position for a dramatic improvement in handling due to a lower center of gravity. It also improves cooling with the ribbed sink on the motor face side. Two sets of height adjustment axle supports are included which allow the ride height of the rear to be adjusted to three different levels in 0.5mm steps. There is also a center mark on the back of the mount to indicate dead center of the chassis so you can adjust the axle for even spacing from this mark for perfect suspension symmetry. The shock mount is also removable and adjustable.

  • Team AtomicMods Comments:I installed one of these on my personal lithium powered MR-02 MM and learned a few things. You need to re-position the negative motor caps to tuck them in and bend the motor negative contact up a bit to clear the bottom of the mount. Make sure you pay attention to this, or you will short the motor and toast your FETs. I have a Damper Plate System on mine and didn't want the wires to interfere with the suspension movement so I ran them wires straight up through the opening in the DPS plate. I always direct solder my motor wires so this was easy. The end result is a sweet mount that drops the motor down almost on the ground and the ability to adjust CG is very cool. I also ran the height adjustment axle supports in the lowest position to give me the lowest center of gravity possible. Can't wait to see how much improvement there is on the track. - Rob
