Atomic AWD Ball Bearing Stock Motor

This is the best motor for the AWD if you do not want to upgrade the FETs. This motor is designed to give maximum performance on the Mini-Z AWD using the stock FETs. Comes with ball bearings, standard magnets and carbon brushes. The specially designed case allows you to change brushes and clean the commutator without opening the motor can and the large vents allow it to run much cooler.

  • Requires:This motor runs on the AWD stock FETs but like all motors its performance will improve with Stacked FETs.
  • Application Notes:You will need to use a file to roughen up the brush tabs (where the wires solder to the motor) in order to get a good connection to the motor and keep the wires from popping off. The brushes and tabs were produced so perfectly that solder doesn't wnat to stick to a surface that smooth.
  • Team AtomicMods Comments:The AWD comes with slightly better FETs than the MR-02 and this motor is wound to take full advantage of them. It is a very high torque motor and pulls more current than other stock motors, so if you use it on anything other than the AWD without upgrading the FETs, you are taking a chance. - Rob

I recently got this motor and put it my Barricade transformer Xmod. I can't seem to keep my back wheels on. I spin around like the car did in the movies. This motor is crazy. I love it! Thanks A.M.

this is a great motor it's so fast i need a bigger place to run it

This motor is tight! I run one in my Xmods and one in my Radline Detour. They both cook! I will be dropping them in my other 5 micros by the end of the summer. Buy this motor!
