Tire Questions

Which tires should I buy for my car with XYZ upgrades?
Tire choice is more art than science since so many factors are at play. The best thing to do is buy a hard set, a soft set and a medium set and see which you like the best. You will probably find that you like different tires for different surfaces. Serious racers will have several sets pre-mounted so they can adapt to any surface condition quickly.

Yes but what is the best tire?
There is no one best tire. It depends on many factors: track surface, track layout, suspension, driving habits, car setup, motor, balance, etc. You should experiment to see what works best for you. If you don't want to do this, buy a medium compound tire and call it a day.

What does the "°" rating mean?
This refers to the hardness of the tire. The lower the number, the softer the tire.

What is the difference between a 10° tire and a 20° tire?
The 10 degree tire is a softer compound and has better grip but does wear faster. Take a look at the chart below to see the relationships.
