KO Propo Questions

I have a Helios Radio that I use for all my cars. It works great and I'm very happy with it, but there is very little info on the ICS cable and software on the Internet. My question is, how do I utilize the memory expansion pack and/or the ICS cable and software to store and program settings on the radio?

The data pack (60225) allows you to store up to 16 additional model memories.

To connect the EX-10 Helios to your PC you will need the ICS USB adapter and the ICS Communication adapter (61003). Connecting the Tx to your PC allows you to up/download setting that are stored in the Tx to your PC or visa-versa.

The ICS software will also bring up graphical representations of settings in your Tx that you can adjust in your PC. You can make the adjustments in the software and transfer them to your Tx. You can also create or change ring tone melodies for your Tx. If you can read/write sheet music, this is a plus because this can all be done in the software.

Model memories that are stored in the data pack cannot be transfered to the PC since connecting the Tx to the PC requires the removal of the data pack. In this case, you will have to move the model memory from the data pack to the Tx. The best way to go about doing this is to first, connect your Tx to the PC adapter. Download your current 9 model memory settings that are stored in your Tx. Disconnect the PC adapter from your Tx, insert the data pack back into the Tx and copy the model memory from the data pack to your Tx's memory. (This will overwrite your current settings, but don't worry you already saved them to your PC) Then connect the PC adapter again and transfer the data. Make sure that you don't overwrite you previous settings that are stored in your PC.
