Is a "pre-order" any different than a "backorder"?
Not really, "pre orders" are handled the same as "backorders" as described below.
Why should I bother with a "pre-order" or "backorder"?
This is simply a way to ensure you get the item when it comes back into stock. Usually the items that go into back order status are the sought after items that sell out quickly.
Do I need to order each "backordered" item by itself?
Yes, we recommend that. Otherwise, your "in stock" items will be held up unnecessarily.
My order includes several "in stock" items and a "backordered" item. When will you ship it?
Your entire order will ship when all of the ordered items are available. To prevent delays, buy the "back ordered" item separately from the other "in stock" items you want.
Will I pay extra shipping on the backordered item?
If it is a separate order, then separate shipping charges will apply. This way we can ship you whatever we have in stock right now and when your backordered items arrives we will ship that seperately.
I already placed an order with "in stock" and "back ordered" items. How do I change it?
Send us an email requesting that we remove the back ordered item from your order. We will remove the back ordered item and refund it's cost. Then you can place a separate order with just the back ordered item.
When will my payment go through for the "back ordered" item?
As soon as your order is placed, the credit card or PayPal payment completes. That allows us to reserve the item for you.
An item I want displays available in 15 days. Fifteen days from when?
The message "available in XX days" varies from product to product and approximates how long it usually takes from the time we order it until we get it in stock. So if you see 15 days, you can assume that it means 15 days or less.
