TGR Sinister General Questions

What is the TGR?
The TGR is a full-blown Carbon Fiber, 1/28th scale racing chassis. It was designed with performance in mind and this meant making a platform with the best available racing electronics package in mind as well as high level of adjustability, all while making it very affordable. The result: Team Go Racing's Sinister.

What makes the TGR’s chassis design so good?
On the TGR Sinister, weight distribution was the #1 goal. Weight was centralized and lowered to the maximum. This translates into quicker response and faster corner speed, ll while maintaining a high level of stability.

What is the best combination of Electronics for the TGR?
Currently, on all our Team Cars, we are running the TGR Servo and Spinner Speed Controller, in combination with Spektrum's micro receiver.

What makes stand alone electronics better?
Better signal, more precise steering and more power. Doesn't that sound good? Actually in early testing, we have found the TGR Spinner speed controller delivers about 25% more power than a stacked FET Mini-Z board.

Building Tips

1. Use Loctite on the M2 nuts that come with the car. These are the little 4.0mm nuts that are widely found in the car. Loctite is especially important on the servo saver nuts that set pre-load on the springs. There is nothing more frustrating than these little nuts coming loose. You will think the car is broken or not working right if they are loose.

2. Raise that body!!! The Sinister has adjustable body posts to raise or lower the body. Make sure that it is high enough so that the body does not rub all over the place. A body that drags on the track will lead to ill handling characteristics.
