Our very first hosted event is over! And a great one it was. The 2007 PN Racing Mini-Z World Cup U.S. Southern Regional took place at AtomicMods' very own testing facility on the weekend of August 4 and 5. Lots of spectators and great competition resulted in some very exciting races witnessed by all.

In an effort to help you connect with fellow racers, we have set up a Local Racing Clubs page. If you are part of a club, send us the information and we will post it. The service is free, and will dramatically increase your clubs exposure.

We have just finished  a complete software transition for the site. It is similar visually, but you will notice various improvements here and there. The back end functionality was the major reason for the upgrade and we now have several new capabilities that will allow us to serve you better.

We had to re-code a lot of stuff, and while we have some pretty smart folks around here, Rob's a little worried we may have missed something, so help us out by reporting any errors or broken links you find. We have gotten many requests for Micro-T upgrades and we have several in the works, but here is one we are prototyping as we speak. These are 3-6 weeks out still.

Got an idea for a cool name?

The steering arms are the weakest parts on the Micro-T so we came up with some spring steel versions. We expect to have these in the next 3-4 weeks.

Developed by our friends at "La Fabrica" Racetrack in Barcelona, Spain. Giro Z is the most sophisticated and affordable lap counting system for Micro RC. Stay tuned for more on this exciting new product. We now have them in stock and will get them posted soon.

Lots of things happened in the last few weeks, we hired another person, pimped a Pro-Pulse, created a Glossary and shipped more orders than we thought humanly possible. We are also getting ready to go to Acapulco for the Kyosho Mini-Z Cup and Cristian got a corner!

The first draft of the 2006 PN Racing Mini-Z World Cup Results was done while sitting in an airport from memory. Now that we have had time to collect our thoughts we have updated the page with more details and even some pretty pictures.

Newsletters have been as scarce as hens teeth, but we are working to improve that. The latest is issue number 6. This issue has a couple of interesting articles and video on "Car Tippiing".

Cristian has been racing for 17 years and has an uncanny knack for building, tuning and driving cars. Cristian has taken over our repair bench, aspects of production, and new product design. The incredible Mini-Z F1s have finally been imported to the USA. There are only a few hundred ReadySets coming here, so supplies are very limited. However, we happen to have a little pull with Kyosho and secured 45% of the US allocation. When these are gone they are gone, so be sure to grab one of these amazing cars.

We have begun outsourcing some of our battery packs to China. This lowers our cost greatly and allows us to sell them at much better prices. The 2S2P is the first to benefit from the "China Connection"...

Brad has moved to the hill country to become a Yoga instructor. We are going to miss Brad's goofy antics, but wish him all the best in his quixotic quest for greater enlightenment...

Rob is now in China at the Shanghai 3rd Annual International Model Show. From there he will travel to Shenzhen where he is collaborating with our battery manufacturers to produce a specialized cell for our hobby (we could tell you more, but then would have to kill you). Then its on to Hong Kong to meet with GPM and Atomic and a few other vendors about new products and ideas to improve old ones. He will also be checking out the very active Mini-Z racing scene in Hong Kong. The last stop is Japan, which is the headquarters for Kyosho. Rob will be back towards the end of the month, and we expect he will have some new products, concepts and ideas to help you "nuke the competition."

We got just got lots of new Evo Billet parts today. Among them are the long awaited XMOD Evo Billet Aluminum Knuckles. We have new billet aluminum parts for both Evo Cars and Evo Trucks

The Atomic T2 is an incredibly fast motor, we put one in a Lithium Mini-Z with a 2x4 Stack and got a whopping 37 MPH out of it on the speed checker.

We just posted a dozen or so Billet Aluminum new parts for the Mini-Z MR-01.
