This is our brand new test facility. The AtomicMods.com test track consists of 2 tracks: The Roadcourse and Super Speedway Oval. The addition of our test track allows us to further our R&D even more. This means more products on the site and better information about them. On top of that we definitely plan on taking more video and possibly even hosting a couple of events.
The Roadcourse
Our Roadcourse consists of many, many different sets of
RCP track. Amongst them Wide L's, Blank Tile Expansions, Wide Radius Inside Corners, Wide Radius Ovals and 45 degree Angled corners. For our first layout, we followed the shape of the room, trying to go as deep and wide as was possible, while still mantaining access to walk around the track (we didn't do a very good job here). Most of the layout is 3 tiles wide, except for two narrow spots on some tight switchbacks. Running a 3 tile wide track really lets you rip open the throttle on the cars, yielding some wicked fast laps on very long tracks.
Super Speedway Oval
The second of our tracks is our Super Speedway Oval. This Super speedway is again 3 tiles wide all the way around allowing for some side to side, ultra fast oval driving. With the recent release of Mini-Z NASCAR Autoscales, it won't be long before our Manhattan Oval car is released ;P.
Timing System
Finally for our timing we use our good ol' trusty Giro-Z, with a 3-tile expansion on it. Our computer is located strategically in between the two tracks so all we have to do is switch the bridge over from one track to the other.
