There is much buzz surrounding Kyosho's new Dnano series of 1:43 scale cars currently being marketed in Japan. We got our hands on one to test and we must say, the buzz is totally warranted. This tiny car is as detailed as the Mini-Z and just as quality of a driving experience.
Available in three different chassis variations with different wheelbases and motor mount configurations, the Dnano is controlled by the same radio system as the 2.4GHz Mini-Z. Even stock the Dnano handles amazingly well, but there is rumor of an available gyro!
Power is derived from a single 3.7V, 130mAH Lithium Polymer cell which drops into a nifty pod in the middle of the chassis. The LiPo cell fuels the tiny micro motor, which powers a rear differential.
The Dnano is available in Japan in the Ferrari Enzo, Ferrari 360 Modena, Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, Nissan Skyline GT-R, Porsche 962C LH, and the Mazda 787B (pictured). Like the Mini-Z, many body styles will be available separately. No ETA is set yet for the US market.
